I also got a call from a woman stating her name was LeAnn Brooks. She said that she was with Anderson and Baker Mediation Firm. I looked up the name and that is the name of a Law Firm for the State. Then I type in the number and the 800 notes came up. Told me they were filing a lawsuit aganst me with Harris County. I kept the message and I am getting a lawyer to sue this company for false representation of a law official. I hear the money rolling in-Chi-Ching Baby!
I took a call from this number and she identified herself as LeAnn Brooks from Anderson Baker Mitigation. She said she needed my attorney's name and a fax number to send them some documents and if I didn't supply it, she would be sending it over to my county prosecutor. When I told her I had some questions for her first, she seemed hesitant. I started with a simple "What did you say your name was again", she replied the same name but when I asked her what her contact number was she stalled and told me that she would transfer me to the "arbitrator" on my case and he could answer all the questions for me. She put me on mute and then a guy named Scott Davis got on the phone. I started with the same line of questioning for him and when I asked him his contact number, he asked me what number came up on my phone? I told him nothing came up, which wasn't true but doesn't matter. He said was it a TX number, to which I replied...again, I don't know. I asked him if he had a contact number and he sort of chuckled and said yeah, yeah, it's 620-213-8487. Then I asked him what company he was calling from and he said "Livingston & Brooks Mediation". When I told him that it was odd that he gave me a different company name than the person that transferred me to him, he got nervous. He said oh it may be one of our other offices. I asked him how they have two different company names and he asked who had transfered me, so I gave him her name and he said I will see what office she's in. He put me on hold for a brief second and then hung up on me. No attempts to reach me again. I fairly confident that this is a complete scam and will be reporting them.
