The area code is in my state , actually I could have use that area code. The number just listed that it was : The United States. I Didn't answer and they left no message.
Hmm, I guess that's why I went from getting flooded with 10-15 a day to going weeks without having my landline even ring then. I certainly don't remember ever reporting anyone to the authorities. Even more puzzling is how any illegal activities can happen, excluding spoofing numbers, without any kind of answer? Not sure a scam can materialize without a victim, either. Somebody's got to play for scammers/spammers to have a chance at any pay.
The reason for reporting here is to try to warn others with as much information as possible, to inspire others who have information to also post their information.
Your post here says NOTHING about what the call was about.
That's not enough information for the FTC to do anything.
And it's not enough information for anyone else to understand WHY the call is to be considered a call from a scammer. Just your sayso. The later posts provide vastly more information. Your post is at best half-vast.

R-Dog if your home phone's blocking capability is filling up at 250 numbers. Google CPR V5000 call blocker. It blocks 1500 numbers and or area codes too. It will also block unavailable, unknown, private, international and 00 international too. You can also wild card number variations after the area code. You'll fall in love with the big red BLOCK NOW button on the CPR V5000. If you get one I'd also advise you block your own number because I've had a scammer spoof my own number to call me. I guess they figured out that I was blocking numbers so they tried mine, just once and then I blocked it. Good luck and happy blocking☺️
