This guy "JESSIE" just called me today (voicemail) from "United Carriers" saying that I was going to be served legal paper work from the county of Los Angeles and that I had to be present to sign it. I needed my picture ID in order to receive it. He had my last 2 addresses, my last 4 SS digits and Cell #. This is complete BS! Yet scary. Glad I googled his phone number and found this site. SCAM!
I received a call telling me that United Courier" needed to confirm that I was going to home on Tuesday with ID to sign for a package. I asked who it was from he said HC Associates. I explained that I did not want the package because I am not familiar with the sender. He then told me that he would forward through dispatch to the client who is sending it so that I can verify. I then was put on the phone with a gentleman telling me that a company was filing against me in Franklin County and he needed to send the me the documents. I advised him that I could not commit to be home during any 4 hour window on any day as I keep a busy schedule. HE then told me that he would advise Franklin County that I am a skip and they can deal with finding me. I said no problem sir, but for the record, your false legal jargon needs some updating because when a person is being sued, they are notified by the court so they don't need your documents. Good Day! I called the Franklin County Courthouse and they advised me that they had no lawsuit pending AND that if a suit is filed and a court date issued they will provide me with the paperwork via certified mail or deputy service. Anyone who gets a call from these people, write it down because this process they are using will hurt them in court!
I got the same exact call, same exact wording. I told him to get off of my phone. The last person said that they would be at my job in 45 mins to serve me, needless to say that never happened. That happens at least every 3 months. I told them I would be waiting and stop calling my job ! SCAM !!!!
They called my son left him a voice mail message saying I needed to be home in this 4 hr window time frame to siget for these documents . Glad I googled this as well.
This number contacted my job stating that they are serving me papers on Monday at my place of employment. Question? Why wait till Monday and today is Thursday? My managers called me with this information and texted me the number. The number that they texted already looked WEIRD so I decide to google the number and I did; SCAMMMMM. I dnt understand why these ppl always contacting my job saying that they are serving me. This really make me look bad and I dnt pay bills. They only persons that I'm concerned abt serving me papers are the IRS and SALLIE MAE.
