This number is for Commercial Recovery Systems in Plano/Dallas, Tx, a collection agency with very shady, and often illegal practices. "Dustin Vidal" has been calling our house, and now has started calling our neighbors (most of which we don't know) telling them that he has a lot of money for us and needs to speak with us asap. They have also sent someone to our front door, and a suspicious vehicle has been parked on the street in front of our house numerous times with someone sitting inside the car just watching our house. I have photographed the car and driver and reported the tag number of the vehicle to local law enforcement. I feel very threatened as I have small children that I am afraid to allow to play outside. They have provided no evidence that we owe a debt.
He must be their tough guy, they are looking for my ex and all this douche wanted to do is argue and threaten me. Yeah, he has my phone # and I gave him my addy to come visit me, doubt he will. BTW, this so called debt is prob more then 5yo.
Dustin Vidal just called me looking for my mother. Asked what this was about and he said it was not a legal matter, just wanted some clarification. Said he would be in the office until 6pm, after that, this "matter" would be out of his hands. What a crock
I also received a call from Mr. Dustin Vidal from CRS. In response to the earlier post, he is the "tough guy" for CRS who came on the phone after I explained to the first agent that this was a time-barred debt that was charged off years ago (and was actually part of divorce as well). Dustin proceeded to yell at me (telling me I was immoral for relying on the statute of limitations and other facts). During his screaming rage, he assured me no less than 5 times that I was on a recorded line; however, once I requested a copy of the "recording", he couldn't (or wouldn't) tell me how to obtain a copy of the same. I was transferred to a supervisor, Anna, who - in her defense - was much more professional although still unable to assist me in obtaining a copy of the allegedly recorded call.
During the call, Dustin Vidal asked me if I was familiar with the FCRA. Had Dustin done any research, he would have realized that I am a consumer finance attorney and very well aware of the FCRA and FDCPA. Dustin blatantly lied multiple times about the FCRA as well as the FDCPA. I feel awful for people who are not educated in their rights as they would be truly scared based on the lies and threats that I personally heard.
I fully intend to follow up on this and seek a recording of the call although I am sure it is not recorded or they will conveniently lose this. For those of you who have recordings of messages that are abusive, harassing, or contain threats and lies, I encourage you to save the same. There are numerous attorneys or consumer financial protection agencies that can and will assist you.
I am certainly in favor of settling debts and paying back what is owed but everyone and not just the debtor should play by the rules.

Follow the steps in what you need to know. Also report the stalking to the LE. Keep taking those pics, keep any messages and definitely keep any and all messages left on the answering machine. Record any conversations with them (see your states recording laws first) and get that cease & desist letter out via US certified or return receipt mail. If you need to, seek a FDCPA/TCPA Attorney.
