I got a call from this number today. I'm so used to these supposed creditors calling me that whenever I see numbers I don't recognize, especially ones from other states, I just don't pick up. I saw on Good Morning America a while back though that you can legally fight back with a lawyer if you keep recordings and logs from their calls. You may even get money out taking legal action.
Received a call morning of 6/10/16 from man with a real accent that claimed to be from the Irs and I had a federal investigation against me and wanted me to answer questions. I hung up on him and called that number back a couple of minutes later and he answered and knew who I was. He started to go thru same info, I told him to send me a letter if they need any info and I hung up.
Hilarious. I've called 5 times just for fun, and each person that answers in a thick accent says his name is either david williams, or david wilson, from the IRS. My only concern is if they can somehow charge my phone company a huge bill for the call somehow. Total scam. I cant even get them to the point of telling me what they want. It's that stupid.
Received call yesterday, recorded since my husband and I do not answer when the number cannot be identified. Was a request to call back but none of the IRS, name or investigation info that others have received. Have had calls from this voice before with the message regarding an IRS investigation. Definitely "spam" call.
