Just donate to them one time, and they will call often; hence, yearly at different times asking for donations for the Sherrif Dept, Cancer [***]., Firefighters [***]. etc...These scammers as I would consider them, never
stop. They even send a sticker with the year's date to look authentic.
Just call the same number back, and they will never answer. One time I
called back, and since they did not want to answer, placed the phone down
and let it keep ringing, just to annoy them whereever they were(CHING!).
the idiot who called couldn't get his story straight. Stated he was an officer in Austin. When I asked him what TCLEOSE - Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards & Education (the agency which licenses all police in Texas) - was he didn't know. So it appears to be fake police called asking for donations.
