This is an Indian Identity Scam out of Mumbai or New Delhi, India. They have some if not all of your information and are looking to get you to send them more and to send them money. I have not fallen for it but remain on the list for at least 2 years now.
Like bird doodoo they drop in every few months or weeks with a new number or set of numbers. They are vile and are no more than criminals, similar to the ones that raped and killed the girl on the bus in India in January 2013.

Repeated calls from this number. I'm assuming it's a debt collector. I have had this number for 2 and a half to 3 years now and I keep getting calls from debt collector for the same person. They always ask for the same person and I have received 5 calls from this number since 8:15 A.M. on January 5 - 12:56P.M. January 7.2013
I'm sick of people calling me looking for this person who does not have my number. the debt collectors call for several months and then I guess they send it to a new debt collector because every few months the number changes that calls me but they always ask for the same person. They call several times a week sometime several times day for a few months and then a new number starts the same thing and takes over for the old number. This has been going on since I got this number 2 1/2 - 3 years ago when I got my new phone. I have not had my number changed because I had my phone for a week and kept getting wrong numbers so I had it changed to my currect and hoped the problem would go away which it hasn't. I am not changng my number again to end up with the same problem all over again.
I had the same problem as you. I have had my same cell phone number for over 5 yrs. The debt collectors and lawyers call always asking for the same person. I tell them that this isn't her number and they say they will take this number off her records. I assume this gal had the number before me? But, the calls have been constant over the past 5 yrs. sometimes I get no calls for a couple of weeks, sometimes I get 3 calls during a week. I found this thread through googling this number that has called me twice in the same day (so far) within a one hour time frame. Thought it might be business related, so I looked it up because someone apparently was trying to get a hold of me. ***They just called again while I was writing this. Called asking for this gals husband. That's a first. Usually the calls are for her.*** Hope it all stops for both of us.
Keep getting calls from this number. Sometimes up to 7 times per day Never leaves a message. Call this morning (early Saturday) and I answered hoping that the calls would stop, they asked for a person and I could not even make out the name they were requesting (Indian???). Told them that no one by that name lived here and would they please stop the calls. They just hung up on me!
