I received a call from this number twice in a row. The recording repeated three times for each call. I couldn't make out all of the message, but it stated that if I ignored the call, I'd be in big trouble with the US government. The call ended: "Please help us to help you."
I got a call from this number but no message was left on my machine. Guess I'm fortunate that it happened that way from what I've read so far. The caller id said "Out of Area" and reverse trace was completely blocked. All bad signs that are the MO of a scammer which is true here. That Treasury scam happened to me a long time ago and I reported it to the Treasury Dept. These scammers are operating from out the U.S. and mimicking U.S. phone numbers such as this one is using a Dallas Area Code. Block and report to the proper authorities because this scammer is extremely dangerous AND DO NOT CALL BACK EVER.
This is the third time in two years. one even had the correct phone number for the court house. I called and the person who answered said they get called about this two or three timed a week.
