Local cops would arrest me and legal action would be taken on this case if I didn't call within 24 hours. Called me twice in one day leaving same robocall message.
Received a robocall from this number around 1600 Central Daylight time. A pre-recorded (robocall) message was left "The reason for this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To find out more about this lawsuit, please call us at 469-729-4905 Department (blah blah blah.)" Although I don't know what this scam is actually about, it is an obvious scam because if IRS was suing me, they would have had to first contact me in some way to resolve whatever the issue was. While there is no doubt that IRS is corrupt, and has been weaponized by the current corrupt administration, IRS does not file an unannounced lawsuit as their first collection effort. IRS has not contacted me, nor do I owe any back taxes. Therefore, this is a total scam. I blocked the number.
This is a scam!! They claim to be officers with the IRS and they ask you for personal information!!! Do not give them any information !!! The IRS will never contact you by phone
