Who called from 4697379418

This is a phone used by Nigerian scammers. They are very intricate and detailed in scams and luckily I realized it was a scam before I ended up sending the money. DO NOT send money to anyone calling from this phone number!!!

This is the email I received from this scammer...Be Very Careful.  I was suspicious after receiving an approval for a rental property when they didn't mention anything about a credit check.  I am reporting this to the local authorities, just in case.

These 3 bedrooms and 2 baths home are very specious and neat.Sqft: 2000

I received the exact same email just with a separate location for a rental property.  I too was suspicious as the email dialogue progressed.  It quickly became apparent that the individual sending the emails was not fluent in English. Additionally, when I looked up the property on the county tax records the name of the supposed owner matched the tax card for the property.  This is obviously a very sophisticated scam.  See all email traffic from the "owner" below.  Beware of this scam... I will be reporting it to the proper authorities.

My wife and I have gone through your application and have found it satisfactory, so we will say at this point “Congratulations" you are now our tenant and we want you to always pay your Monthly rental fee on time to avoid any form of embarrassment. My attorney will be receiving the refundable security deposit along with the 1st Month rent fee paid to him through a wire transfer so as to secure our home for you and take it off market which automatically makes no one contact us for the same house you are renting. We will also be signing on the Lease/Rental Agreement in a hard copy paper before shipping the keys along with the hard copy paperwork to your present home address. Can you please re confirm your present home address? And upon receiving the deposit and first month rent we will secure our home for you and take it off market and get the keys shipped to your present home address along with a tracking # to let you know the exact time you will be receiving the package. Someone is now running scams through Craigslist & other rental sites - they list houses/apartments for rent and try to scam you out of first months rent & security deposit. I insisted on talking on the phone before I went any further with the agreement and he gave me this number. in a strange twist he asked me to send the money to his "Attorney" Barry Aubert in Atlanta GA - a quick search of that name got me a mugshot of Mr. Aubert recently arrested for credit card fraud. SO - they are not smart but their emails are more convincing than the ridiculous broken English of lesser scammers.
