Received this call about tax fraud and warrant out for arrest. Called the number back and talked to foreign man. I told him IRS doesn't call about warrants. He then told me an officer will be coming to arrest me. I hung up. SCAM
Yes! I was so scared and freaked out! But, I remembered the radio stating that the IRS would NEVER "Call" for your information and ect. Radio warned the citizens of Arizona. The sad part is, Some old senior citizens were SCAMMED! Obviously. So, to read about it on THIS website, only encouraged me to know thar I wasn't the only one. FYI-ALWAYS GOOGLE IT! omg.
They said they were from Miller Law Firm. Investigator Harper said if my husband didn't call them back within an hour they would issue a warrant for his arrest. She would not tell me what it was about just that it was a fraud ase. But this has to be a scam because my husband has never perpetrated fraud.
Give your state attorney general a call - illegal threats were made. It is also ILLEGAL to claim to be an attorney of they are not licensed (and I doubt they are - they would know the law) as is refusing to give company information upon your request. Even if you did owe, arrest would NOT happen.
