robocall from 469-874-9866 caller ID said "UNKNOWN CALLER" on Wednesday 04-15-15 @ 458 PM
answered on the 2nd ring and it was the dreaded males voice saying
"Hello Senors!......medical alert....blah......blah....press 1.........."
I pressed 1 and they disconnected me.
It is just their way to continue to harass me because they don't want their precious workers ears
blown by the "SCAMMER AIRHORN"
Every day, sometimes more than once, a call comes in to lower my interest rate. Sometimes they hang up when you answer. Other times, they give you a choice to press 9 to opt out. That doesn't work! Other times, press 1 to talk to an agent. I prolong that discussion as long as possible and finally they get frustrated and hang up. It doesn't matter if you don't have credit cards but you must have at least $10,000 in credit card debt to qualify. When you have extra time, play their game. It makes you feel good even though you are furious when the calls come at inappropriate times.
First question: IF you did not recognize the number then why did you answer the phone? When you do all you have done is to confirm for them that your number is a viable, working number and they WILL continue to call you, plus sell your number to other scumbags.
Thought for the day: What IF NO ONE answered their calls? Would they finally have to give up and go out of business? Hope so. PS/ our government's DO NOT CALL list is a joke too. It works no better than our government does. Have a great day.
PS / by using this method I now receive less than 1 or 2 calls daily, sometimes NONE !
I have come to the conclusion the FCC is on Card Member services payoff list All the illegal calls that are made on a daily basis using illegal numbers & fraudulent practices & when a complaint is filled all they the FCC say is we are not an enforcement agency & the case is closed, Knowing that the activities are illegal
They have access to Federal Agencies that could determine who the creeps are making the calls but do nothing.
How many times has it been pointed out on this website, that the Do Not Call List, only applies to legitimate businesses, not the criminals running these scam operations? Evidently, not enough times to get it through your dense skull. I'll bet you're one of those tea-baggers that want government out of the business of regulation, unless it's something that you want regulated.
