They called 5 times back to back when I was driving and I kept hitting ignore because I was driving. He said he was a private investigator trying to reach my brother and his wife about an urgent time sensitive matter. I asked what it was about and instead of answering me he started naming off family members who he has tried to call and how nobody would help out. I asked if this was a collection call? He said absolutely not and that he was doing an investigation that my brother supposedly asked him to start. ??!
He said he called his son who then blocked his number so he couldn't call back. I asked if this was a criminal matter and he said no he is not affiliated with any police dept. I then said I was not getting involved and he said then you are choosing to put your brother in harm's way.i hung up.

Called my home and my Next Plus number, I have no clue how they could have got that number. I don't give that number out to anyone other than family and close friends. Judging from other comments, somebody was dumb enough to give them that number. Don't give these people any information. It's a scam.
Left messages, investigator lady, no real information on who she worked for. Clearly phishing. I have recently seen a jump in phishing emails, I'm convinced somebody is trying to steal my personal information. Change passwords, block this caller, keep an eye on your bank account.
Got call from these guys too. My Mobile #. Asking for someone who I don't know. (someone who used to have my number I suppose, as I get collection calls now and then asking for this same person.) They identified themselves as working for a Private Investigator. Said they would remove my number. They called back about 5 mins later. So it goes to show that you can't believe anything these "Private Investigators" claim. Blocked them now. Probably Debt collectors.
