Called and asked if I was homeowner. I told them I am not a homeowner and to please remove my number. She responded with "but we have 80% off deals" and then I asked to be removed. She said "Oh well have a good day m'am" which meant she wasn't removing my number. She barely spoke english too so I doubt the call was from the U.S.
Received a call yesterday afternoon from 470-695-3389 with Caller ID Name of HVAC Cleaning. Then this afternoon received a call again from 470-695-3389, but with Caller ID Name of Daily Deals. They hung up both times without leaving a message.
Whether the caller(s) are trying to trick people to answer by changing the CID Name, or they're being paid to represent other scammers, the calls are not legitimate.
The 470 area code is the newest for metro Atlanta, so it's still not seen too often.
Got a call from this number a few minutes ago, didn't answer. So this is a place called Daily Deals? That makes me wonder if Amazon is selling our phone numbers. I am not an Amazon Prime member, but I do shop there fairly often, and Amazon has started sending me frequent e-mails offering me local deals. (Never followed up on any of them because I hate Amazon spam.) I am on the Do Not Call list and I keep wondering where all these telemarketers keep getting my number.
P.S. Is this the same telemarketer who calls from 470-427-0556 selling duct cleaning services? That number has called me often. (I never answer, but have seen reports on that number here from other people.)
