They called about 15 minutes after but didn't leave a message and when I answered the phone they hung up. How rude. We're on the DNC list for more than 10 years. I pay AT&T for call blocking & so I used it again.
Call from "AutoGuard". Said my car qualified for extended protection plan. I asked "which car" and she said the one you use the most. Of course that made no sense since she was supposed to know which car "qualified" but I figured I'd just play along. Next question "does your car have less than 150,000 miles" - answer "Yes". I asked why she was calling since I'm on the "do not call" register - she said they handle my warranty and have the right to call. "Well," I asked "if you handle my warranty why didn't you state the car you were calling about when I asked?".
Of course these folks don't handle your car warranty, they won't tell you what company they work for and they haven't a clue if you even own a car . It a scam folks - even if they are selling some kind of auto protection plan you'll never be able to collect a dime from it because they exclude all of the standard problems you'l have with a vehicle and make you jump through hoops just to try and figure out how to file a claim.
They called my cell phone, which is on the DNC list.
I don't answer unrecognized #'s.
Of course, no message was left.
Mr. Number app on my smart phone said it was probable spam, and I blocked it.
