They called about 15 minutes after but didn't leave a message and when I answered the phone they hung up. How rude. We're on the DNC list for more than 10 years. I pay AT&T for call blocking & so I used it again.
I just had a call from this number. I ignored it. Also, remember that a number that looks legitimate could be a fake display on your caller ID. There are apps that allow scammers to do that. Some scammer is making the Verizon Tech support number appear on your screen. My husband answered such a call. They told him they wanted to give him a rebate on his cell bill but needed the last four numbers of his social security number as well as mine. They also wanted his Verizon account number. First of all, Verizon would already have this information. Second, they would never call a customer and ask for it. BEWARE!
The Do Not Call Registry is OBSOLETE. A lot of these calls come from overseas. They just use apps and software to make a local or toll free number appear on your caller ID.
I mistakenly answered the phone, which I normally don't do for numbers I don't know, and there was no one on the other end when I said hello....twice. Added to my blocked list of other numbers that have called that I don't know and didn't leave a message. If someone really needs to speak to you, they will leave a message. Hate that these scammers found a way around the do not call registry.
