I have been having the same problem now for about 2 weeks from someone calling me from 478-257-9252 as well. When I call them back they never answer. I'm calling the police now and reporting this since I seen others are having this problem with same number calling them also.
This is a voip number, through some provider, and is not a local call at all. They are fishing for credit card info, and if you accept the call, it averts the do not call list. I'm trying to block them through bellsouth.
I also received a call from this number only when I answered, it was my husband who was actually calling from his cell phone. I told him how it came up as a macon number instead of his phone number. He called back and it was fixed. I did a reverse search on that number and it "claims" to be an unlisted land line.
