Got a weird text in middle of the night from this number asking how I felt when they groped me in their dreams, I replied that I think they are drunk and have the wrong number they insisted they didn't and that they saw my pictures online and thought I was hot (with terrible spelling I may add). I told them I have a boyfriend and never messaged them. They falsely apologized for being annoying but kept persisting and said they were audri4n4h and wanted to hook up. They also said they were in a new town (the area code is out of state but they mentioned it first)
I told them to go away and they said 'I saw your pics LOLZ ;-)'. So finally I asked, 'What's my name?' (It's very uncommon) and they haven't messaged me since. I muted the conversation but can't find a way to block this number since it was a text and not a phone call.
To reduce the number of unwanted email and texts you receive, use these tips:
Be careful about giving out your mobile phone number, email address, or any other personal information.
Read through commercial web forms. Some websites allow you to opt out of receiving email from partners – but you may have to uncheck a preselected box if you want to do so.
Check for a privacy policy when submitting your wireless phone number or email address to any website. Find out if the policy allows the company to sell your information.
Do not respond to unwanted texts or emails from questionable sources. Several mobile service providers allow you to forward unwanted texts by simply texting it to 7726 (or "SPAM") to block the sender. Check with your provider about other options.
Omg! That happened to me too, last night also! Bad spelling, same number, and they sent me a pic of a girl? And then they told me to go to VIPstreamnow.com?
That same thing happened to my boyfriend last night.. Just like Star and Noneyo.. We blocked that #. I can't believe these ppl get by with this stuff. Talk about no privacy no body has any. That's just not right we all should be more protected than this.
