My car was hit by someone with Geico insurance - I have to say that Geico did a really nice job taking care of me (I was hit by 2 cars and the other insurance company gave me almost nothing even though their client totaled my car) - but anyhow, I assume this is Geico calling to see if everything was OK.
I guess Geico wants to insure all the city transit buses in my town, or maybe my two feet, since I don't own any vehicles of my own at all, and have never done any business with them!
This number called me 4 times back to back to back. The next call i got was from my mother. She said that GEICO was trying to call me to get permission for roadside assistance to put fuel in my car. She borrowed my car and apparently ran out of gas on the highway. (We won't count how many times she has done this in her own car and called me for help.) She called GEICO and under her policy, she can use roadside assistance transferrable to any car she is driving. If this number is calling it's from the GEICO headquarters callcenter. Answer it. If it's a solicitation, just say no thanks and keep it moving. You never know what this could be. Might even be a claim against you or even a family member in need of help.
