This number has been calling me non stop threatening to have me served papers?! Who are they and where are they calling from? This is the second number used to call me from the same place, same people everytime. The other number is 480-685-5020 and when you call them both back I get a message saying that you have reached a non working #.
It is probably a "spoofed" number if the number will not go through when you call them back. They are doing this to conceal their location and identity, making it next to impossible to trace.
This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

They also included information in the call like my nickname, company I work for and the street it is on. How would they have my personal cellphone information with all of this? How is that possible?!
They just called asking for me by my maiden name - have not used in almost 20 years. Told me MLA Assoc was trying to deliver me a court summons tomorrow and to call them at 866-538-2725 and gave me a case #. I refused to give them my married name or ANY information of any kind. When I tried the 866 # it was just a music recording.
