This is what happened to me today to, I said I could take a message and he hung up so I called the # back and got a machine I left a message I guess we got disconnected have a nice day.
Called, said something unintelligible that vaguely sounded offensive, then hung up. The initial dead air indicates they were using a dialer. Honestly sounded like a prank call.
These people seem to call at least daily for a period of time, then when I finally answer and tell them no they quit for awhile. As soon as they say "we told you we'd call back with our latest special, but first a bad joke". That's when I cut them off and say I have no budget and they hang up. Hopefully that keeps them quiet for awhile.
