same as others have reported. Sounds like offering utility services. As soon as asked how got my number hung up. Caller ID shows call from Chester springs pa. Another blocked number
Just received a call from this # 484-207-0712 as well. Person ( female ) did not identify themselves. Wanted to speak to the person who was responsible for the utility bill. Asked her who she was calling for ( caller ID indicated the call was from Chester Springs so I knew it wasn't PECO ). Still doesn't say who she is or where she is calling from. After a ski g her several times she says she is calling g for Latoya. Tell her wrong # no such person at this #. Still asks for Latoya, then asks if I am her. Again I tell this person wrong #, then she hangs up on me. Really???
I have seen stories about this on the news lately and it seems these are auto dialed calls from mostly scammers and are often not even at the number or location appearing on the caller ID. Legit businesses observe the no call list and do not call people. These are scams most of the time and they advise us not to answer the calls. Thinking about this however, I guess my answering machine picking up IS sort of like answering a call, not sure on that tho.
Just another call from scammers who call from a number at which they are not physically located. This one was from Chester Springs, PA. Two others today have been from Homestead, FL, and Harrisonburg, VA. We get them from all over the U.S.
We've had several calls from this telemarketer over the last 2 weeks. Calling from Chester Springs, PA, asking to talk to the person responsible for PP&L service in our home. When I indicated that our power is supplied by a Co-Op, and not by Pp&L, he said he'd never heard of a Co-Op. Obviously an idiot! By the time I told him never to call again, I heard the dial tone.
