That's the best background info yet!  It certainly sounds like a scam to steal your credit card information by having you volunteer to give it away.  Social engineering conning at its best.

I got a call a short while ago from (484) 489-0922.  no msg was left.  after reading your posts, I'm glad I didn't get up to go to my phone across the room.  Thanks for sharing.

Same 484-489-8922 number just called coming up  as Skype . Did not answer it , no message left .

Have family in PA but wanted to checkout the number first it being a "SKYPE"  listing . Seems like a bogus call from reading this thread .

called my cell phone and my listed on the national do not call list. You are these people and how do I stop these calls?

same as above - did not answer (do not answer if I do not recognize the number - if they don't leave a message it can't be that important)
