A guy with a foreign accent called, said they were a mortgage co, told him I wasnt interested in a refi, he said thats not why he's calling but kept asking for my home loan info, interest rate, loan amount, etc. He said they are a program to make people aware of better rates. Then started again with asking for info so I just hung up.
If you use your number for other purchases on the web, then they sell your number to someone else. Read the fine print before making any purchases of your computer. People are very sneaky.
Got a call from this company asking for Mr. <my middle name>. I asked him if he was trying to sell things to a telemarketing list and he said he'd take my number off...I doubt they'll follow through.
