Call back gets a robo voice saying "hello." If you answer, it launches into a recorded speech, "Good afternoon, this is Joe ???? with the Pennsylvania Fraternal Order of Police." It goes on to get a confirmation of a donation amount. So that's what it is. As for these FOP donations read here:

The reason there are often conflicting reports of who or what is using a number is because these are often for-profit companies that collect on behalf of charities. Of course they take the lions share and are, in my humble opinion, nothing more than legal scam artists but legal nonetheless. There you go. Hope this helps.
Thought about answering just to see what scam this caller might be trying to perpetrate or what political agenda might be thrust at me. But I thought better about it. As with Wendy, caller left no message. Now blocked.

Didn't p/u and caller left no msg. I did look for this number elsewhere online and found 3 spam complaints: one for fake cruise, one for fake state police donations and one about 'needing delivery confirmation' for hearing aids or something of the like (which is worrisome for some elderly folks who might really be waiting for a delivery like that).
