I have purchased one of these vacation packages from Bass Pro shop and I loved it. I stayed at the Branson MO "big ceder lodge" resort and had a wonderful time. While I was there, I was asked to attend a 1 1/2 hour tour of the property and even tho I was not in a position to purchase this timeshare, I was treated nicely and I was respectfully given my free gift I was promised (a $50 bass pro gift card)
So basically, I faired well in this purchase, however I would be annoyed with continuous phone calls as well.
They called a few times over the past week. The caller id comes up with VTT when they call. I answered and a lady offered a vacation package. I asked how they got our number, and she said I gave the permission to call when I signed up for a contest at the Bass Pro Boat.
I did fill out the form for a free boat giveaway. I guess they just sold my number to telemarketers. What a lie!
I signed up for that contest as well at Bass Pro almost 3 years ago and they are still calling me after I have repeatedly told them that I am not interested. They called again today and my wife answered. She told them we have a newborn and that we will not be taking any vacations for a while and then she no thanks and hung up. They had the balls to call back three more times in the span of about 15 minutes and not leave a message. That is going too far and now they are going to deal with me!! OOOOO this is gonna get brutal!!
They Called on my Fax Line. ID showed VTT. I never give that number out??? The lesson learned is that any time you apply for, or sign up for something you have to assume they will sell your info...
