I've been having the same experience with this company, "Timeshare Goldline." Too good of a deal to be true. They say they have a "buyer" for my vacation ownership, but won't send any documentation until I've authorized them to charge my credit card $2,050.00 to pay for the marketing of the timeshare, title search, etc. After the sales people think they've got you hooked, a person by the name of Jason Bradshaw gives you a call from his number 501-593-4394. He's a slick talker, who gets a little beligerent when you tell him he's got to be insane to think that you are going to allow his company to charge $2,050.00 to your credit card without having any signed agreement in hand. When you tell him that the costs should be taken out of closing or that the title company can hold the funds till closing, he really goes off on a tangent. They have an answer for everything, but will not give you anything in writing. When you tell them about the BBB, they take you to the sight to show you how to look them up. They also explain how the BBB is corrupt and they don't agree paying the fee so that's why they have a "D" rating. To make a long story short they guarantee they have a buyer, ask you to pay fee's upfront, then ask you to tell their legal dept. on a recorded line that you do not have a buyer so they can market the property for 48 hours as is required by law. This is one heck of a scam that you would have to be an idiot to fall for.....
receive several calls over the past four days from this number. they say that they have a buyer for my timeshare and are able to get more than i'm asking for it. when i tell them that i'm not going to pay their 2500.00 upfront fee for title search, estoppel letter, etc. They tried to convince me that I was not understanding what they were saying. I told them I was still not going to give my credit card number until I had the money in my hand, and that is when they told me that they had my credit card number and read off the last four to an old credit card i did have. I told them no thanks and they did not have my permission to ever charge me anything and they got real mad and said that i was too stupid to talk to anymore and hung up.
