I have been receiving calls from the above number almost on a daily basis. I have told them numerously that I do not want to be called and to remove my phone number from their list. I have had nasty replies from them!!! They are the ones calling ME!!!
Recorded message about "reduce your credit card interest rate"-- which I have gotten numerous times before, but didn't have caller ID.. When a person finally answered, I asked to be put on their Do Not Call list. Was told that they didn't have a Do Not Call list. I started reading to them about the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA), which permits consumers to collect $500 to $1,500 directly from a company for each violation of the TCPA. Telemarketer was very sassy, and said that they didn't have to comply with the TCPA because they weren't trying to sell me anything. Then they hung up.
Continue receiving calls from this number, I live in the 502 area code, but we do not have a 000 exchange that I am aware of. Caller ID shows NAME NOT KNOWN. It is from a recorded "Rachel" regarding my credit card rate. I have gotten this same call from a different number in an area code outside of my state. I have reported both numbers to the Kentucky Attorney General's office. I recommend all do the same.
