I have been receiving calls from the above number almost on a daily basis. I have told them numerously that I do not want to be called and to remove my phone number from their list. I have had nasty replies from them!!! They are the ones calling ME!!!
What do you do to get these calls stopped? I used to get about one a week - now they seem to come daily. I used to hang up but now I've started to "press 9" just to see what the pitch is. The real person that comes on the line is very scripted. If you start to ask any question, they immediately hang up. From what the real person started to say, it sounded like some sort of debt consolidation business. The phone number that shows up on caller ID is "502" area code which is Louisville, KY. But, if you dial the number, 502-000-8366, you get the intercept that the number being dialed is not in service. So, not only are these people in violation of Federal Do Not Call Laws, they have, some way gotten around having their real numbers appear on caller ID. I would think that somewhere in this fair land of ours, there is someone with the ability to track these people down and put an end to their operation.

Anyone know which agency is supposed to be enforcing the Do-Not-Call list and the laws against making robocalls to cell phones? I've reported these "Rachel" calls to the FCC, FTC, and Ky. Attorney General for about 3 years now with no results. You'd think the credit card companies would take legal action, since they're the ones who eat the losses from these phishing schemes, but no such luck.
Called, left no meessage, called again from an out of state number (637-000-2238) I answered that time and hung up.
As far as I know, the 000 prefix is false, either they're using a online service to make calls, or illegally spoofing their real number. This makes it easy to know they're A: Not at all legit. B: Not worth talking to.
It also means that reporting them to the BBB and threats to report them probably won't phase them much, as I doubt there's much that could be done about them.
