Blocking the number will do no good. The carrier that provided this number will continue providing scammers more numbers so long as the scammers keep paying for them. The FCC is helpless to do anything about it, so the 2 or 3 providers that these scammers work with will continue to profit from victimizing you. The best option is to knock down these illegitimate carriers. In this case, the number belongs to Peerless Network in Chicago, IL. Peerless Network is NOT a legitimate company. They depend on these scammers and do nothing about the numbers reported to them. You can file a complaint against Peerless Network, just like I did, at the Better Business Bureau website.
