The message is in Vietnamese. This seems to be from the same company (Vietnumber) which uses many different phone numbers to repeatedly call my cell.

Yes indeed, I've received the same recorded Oriental message every day for a SOLID two months. Usually the Caller ID indicates that it's the 503-206-0950 telephone number but on a few occasions other numbers have been listed.
The July-August 2009 edition of AARP's News Bulletin indicates that as of 12-01-08 all prerecorded messages must include a toll-free telephone number connecting to an automated opt-out system. Of course, with an Oriental message how would most of us be able to translate that opt-out number, assuming that one is provided???!!!
AARP suggests that we report such abusive telephone calls to: www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov or 1-877-382-4357 (toll-free). I've just done so. Please join me and perhaps this nonsense can be stopped.
My mom has been receiving the same message in Vietnamese from this number and other numbers as well since June and it has continued even till now. This is a real pain for her especially since it's wasting her minutes and she has no idea how the machine or person calling got a hold of her number. I would really like it if whoever is sending the messages would stop because it is irritating for me to have to come online and report such a problem when the person in the first place, would not send out such messages to people's cells without them knowing. Thank you very much in advance for who may read this.
I got THE (#%&#@) call @ 7:49 on a Sat. evening, UUGGHH! Oh, how I wish I could tell them to go to he--! In their language even!! I just don't bother answering, it is not a familiar number anyway Darn SICKOS!
