Don't  trust callers w/no I.D.
This is got to be a SCAM after I read all the other comments. A reputable company always has their name on caller I.D. If they don't use their company name makes them look sneaky & hiding something. Those are the companies I don't want to deal with. Lots of reputable companies out there to deal with...

Sunday morning.... didn't answer but returned call from a remote pc using Skype.  Answered as some transmission shop.  Identified myself as "Agent "such and such".   and they hung up.

Calls constantly, never leaves vm. Bottom line, people: If a legitimate company legitimately has legitimate business they need to conduct with you, they will leave a MESSAGE containing the comp name, the caller's name--usually first AND last, and a phone number they can be reached at. And the company name they give will match the caller ID. (Caller ID showed this 503 area code to be hidden behind area code 623). Finally--and this is THE MOST IMPORTANT--ANY company that you do financial business with (your bank, credit card co, even your MD's office, or a utilities co)  ALREADY HAVE UR DEMOGRAPHIC AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION!! Anyone asking for account numbers, addresses, social security numbers, info about family members, recent purchases, etc. IS A SCAMMER. Yes, sometimes businesses may call to confirm old info, but ANY QUESTION that you CANNOT ANSWER with a simple "yes" or "no" is probably someone "phishing" for information, acct #s, S.S. #s, etc.
P.S. Warn small children about this stuff. Walked in on my 5th grader in tears on the phone with "Mommy's Bank" who told her I was hurt, in the hospital, and they needed some info to do surgery. She just needed to find an extra check book & read them the numbers on the bottom. They said, "Does Mommy have a desk or a box in her bedroom or place in her office where she tells u to stay out of because its Mommy's papers? Your Mom is here and she said its ok this one time cuz Mommy's hurt. Do you know what a checkbook looks like? Look for a box big enough to hold sunglasses, but it has checkbooks in it...." I mean, she was a shaking wreck when I came home. (Luckily I was just at a neighbors) But they only talked to her for 6 mins & she was holding a checkbook & reading numbers when I walked in the door. THESE PEOPLE ARE SICK AND WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET WHAT THEY WANT!
Called my bank right away & was great setting up new acct, flagging the old, etc, but States Atty Gen'l said same basic thing...there's too much activity to really do anything & these people float around from state to state, close down and set up shop overnite.
It's up to us, the consumer, to stay educated, spread the word to family, friends, colleges, and via sites like this. EASIEST ANSWER: If you don't know the caller, NEVER PICK UP. If someone needs to legitimately call you, they'll leave a message! Duh!

yes this is wells fargo financial.  they call when your credit card payment is a day late and don't give up until you make a payment or arrangements.  if my payment is late I know I have up until 30 days before it actually gets turned against my credit so if i have more pressing bills i tend to wait until the 30 day is close before paying.  they will call generally the same time every day, including weekends and you can't do anything about it once they haVE your number, unless you can somehow convince them you have a new number and they change it in their system.
