Recorded voice with the tired old "expiring warranty" scam that's used to pretend a legitimate on-going business relationship with you.
Stopping calls from the cockroaches hiding behind this (fake caller ID) number is easy as 1 2 3.
1. Listen to enough of the message to make sure the caller isn't someone who's been authorized by you (or someone in your household) to call you. Stay online long enough to get a real person and a real company name, phone number or mailing address.
2. Write down the date and time of the call with enough information to let the FCC find and contact the caller or those he's working for. Just the caller ID number you get isn't enough.
3. Report the caller, and any cell phone charges or "do-not-call list violations from these calls, to the FCC, using the on-line form at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm.
