Same as above, told me to press 1 and hold for next available assistant. I hung up and tried to call back. The other end hung up on me after a few attempts.

Caller said the call was being recorded and then he said that he was from some company that I had never heard of regarding something about Associates National Bank. He asked if I was ....., to which I replied yes. However my name is in fact a commone name in the United States. He said he needed to verify he was speaking to the right ..... an asked if I could verify my address. I told him that since this was a "cold call" that came into me that I do not share that info, especially since I do not know who he is. He again said his name, some name for a company he said he works for that was contacted by another on behalf of Associates National Bank. I again told him that I do not know him, or his company, or that I do not recall ever having any dealings with an Associates National Bank. Again he asked to verfiy that I was the person he needed to talk with and asked for the last four of my SSN, I told him AGAIN since this was a "cold call" that came into me I do not give out that info, particularly since I do not know you are or anything about what you are calling about. I told him that he could send whatever he had to whatever address that he had, and if it was mine I would look at it. I again commented I do not recall ever having any dealings with an Associates National Bank so I don't know why you are calling me. He said that he was going to have to terminate the call since he could not verify that I was the person he needed to be talking with. I said sounds good and hung up my phone.
