I also got texts messages from this number asking me about an item i had posted on craigslist, and he said that he only can use paypal to send the money and after I got the money he would contact the shipping company to come pick up the item..total scam ,,, don't give out any information to this guy , he uses the name Richard Brown when he contacted me.
Same situation, same exact story, Gary Fontneau .... buy my car on Craigslist ... PayPal only ... hasn't gotten to the part about covering the shipping ... I was told he would contact his shipping company that will come.
Being ever paranoid, I entered his name/number into the internet and here we are! Thanks for all the helpful info folks!
Same guy, "Gary Fontneau" wanted to buy our car. Thankfully, we thought it was fishy and decided to research online. Sounds like he's up to no good. Did you get hacked?
