I got a similar thing. Send a sketchy looking cashiers check with all the security features missing and the bank's named MISSPELLED! Called the bank- they said its been a problem.
Responded to an ad I had on craigslist. Said they wanted to purchase my vehicle and wanted an address to mail the cashier's check. Would then send a reliable mover to pick up the vehicle. Told them I will not take a check and that I need to meet with the buyer in person for the title work. They haven't replied to that last text so far. I figured it was a scam and knew enough not to give my personal information. I hope others are as well. Be careful posting and what info you give out. This world is FULL of crazies!
The same thing happened to my husband and I... I looked up the number online and thanks to these comments on here we have not gave our info so thank you "from Ohio" you saved us
