I got a similar thing. Send a sketchy looking cashiers check with all the security features missing and the bank's named MISSPELLED! Called the bank- they said its been a problem.
Wants to purchase my horse via Cashier's Check and will send mover to pick up the horse - told them CASH ONLY. Don't expect to hear anything else from them, but will for sure not proceed with their inquiry.
Especially since the number is listed as a New Orleans number and I am west of Houston!
Just got the same response from a craigslist add I posted. The person texted me wanteing to send a cashiers check. They also wanted to have the movers pick up some other stuff they were going to have delivered to my address! NO WAY! I told them I thought it was a scam ....no text back from that number ....not even 2 hours later got a text from 504-484-9142 trying to get me to do the same thing.

I got the same text as everyone else about sending a cashier's check for a craiglist item I listed and them working too much, not being able to get there, sending someone for it, etc. Crazy thing is I had literally listed it just a few hours earlier and it wasn't what I thought was a "hot item" so I smelled a rat immediately.
this same caller kept bothering my son whom is a minor and after reading all these I have decided to call the law and an attorney and have this useless pile of crap delt with
