They hang up on answering machines or voicemail but if you answer it's the same scam pretending to be calling from Microsoft to help with a computer virus. They spoof a new number every few weeks so just hang up on them but never follow their instructions !!
A black foreign lady called and said she received a message from my computer and that I have malicious spyware. I asked why my computer would contact her and she said she was from Microsoft. I asked her what company. She replied, "What company? F*** you!" Then she hung up in my face! I tried to call 508-341-6394 back and the recording said it was not a working number! Caller ID said it came from Massachusetts.
A man with a strong Indian accent has called me at least 10 times from different numbers including this one. He claims that there is a problem with Windows on my computer. He gets very agitated if you do not go to the website that he is telling you to go to. He asked if I was messing with him because he has called me so many times and I keep telling him that it does not work when I type in the address he tells me to (I do not actually type it in I am messing with him) .
