I keep getting these calls where a sweet girl starts in talking about because I have recently stayed at one of their resort hotel I am eligible for free nights blah blah. Then she says can you hear me. I never answer just hang up. Caller ID is never the same. Does anyone know more about these calls?
Obviously a robo call initiated (illegal in Ma), so when the line was silent when I picked up the phone I hung up on the robo. Probably something selling their solicitation services?
Steven from Solar Home Panels. Caller ID came up as "Final Expense". Robocall obviously, there was an echo happening on the line with me. When I asked "Steven" if he was a robot, he said, "No, I just sound strange because I am making this call over a computer". Then I asked him who the Pres. of the US was, the reply was "that's a good question, let me connect you with one of our customer service representatives". Sure, you're a real life person "Steven". Just ask these robocallers a simple question and they can't answer because it's not programmed into the phone software they use. They don't have a button they can push to give an answer to your question. Just ask them a simple question or two to confirm the robocaller: who is the president, what are the colors of the flag, who was the 1st president, etc.
Caller hung up without leaving a message. It comes up as VoIP from Choice One Communications and originating from Auburn, MA. It is reported elsewhere as a telemarketer for solar panels and the owner's name is hidden for privacy reasons. Aren't they all?
