So i received a call from 1 508-458-6804. I answered and they were telling me a complaint was filed by my insurance company and they said I owed a balance of 50 something dollars. I stated that I wanted to know the validity of the call and why I was just now hearing of a debt owed from 2011 when I was under the impression that my insurance covered my medical bills from that year. He told me that it will be put on my credit with more collection fees added to it that "are much more expensive than paying the 50 dollars" I continued to ask the validity of the call and if they could verify that for me then he became angry and began to threaten me with putting it on my credit score and that I was being ridiculous for not wanting to just pay the small amount of debt. I was going to say that I thought it was ridiculous that he couldnt verify the validity of the call but then he hung up on me. So I called back to someone who greeted without stating his name or company. I said that I got a phone call from this number and I want to know the company name and his and he refused to give it to me. I asked him if he had ever heard of the fdcpa because I a debt collector myself and I know what rights I have concerning my debt. He became very belligerent and I told him that he was very rude and he was violating the fdcpa by threatening me and making derogatory statements and then he hung up.
As a debt collector myself, just know that any collector has to verify the validity of your debt if it is requested and they are NEVER to talk to you in this manner WHATSOEVER. Please don't give your personal info unless you verify the validity. Never ever give your sensitive info.
Just got a call from this number and when I asked the girl what this was in regards to she told me it was for a bill back in 2010. She then asked my birthday and I refused to answer- she forwarded me to a man and I began asking questions about this so call bill. When I told him it had been discharged in my bankruptcy he started yelling at me that I don't understand and I told him I do understand and he can call my lawyer as I want no more contact from him or this number.
I just got the same phone call from CRA stating the same. She said, You have no idea what's about to happen. Either you or your legal rep. should call them. This womans name was Tammy and the numbers are the same as the ones who called you.
These people are debt collectors i just ignore them i don't answer any number i do not recognize.. they call asking for my ex husband i do not know how these people make a living being such scum bags.. the lady that called me and left a message said "I do have to get a statement from you before i have this finalized and released from my office I don't think you realize what is about to take place sir please call me by the end of the day or have your legal representation do so i can be reached at 844 486 3184" like their trying to scare people. GET A LIFE AND REAL GOD DAM JOB!!
These people are a scam, and my Lawyer will get them for embarrassing me. I called back and they do not even give you there name. Do not answer there calls.
