I got a call at 12:30 AM - callerID said "Blocked" - Robo call saying my Mastercard from a real local credit union had been closed due to tampering. We have no such account but I found it odd that this is a local bank only - how would they know about it? Anyhow, I hung up. At 3AM I got another call from this 508-475-1920 number and again was a robo call about another card with Bank of America that I don't have. The recorded voices sound very "real" and American etc. However, I have no such cards so I hung up before I could find out what the rest of the message was.
07/26/11 - At 11:16am I received a call from 508-475-1920. At 12:02pm I received a call from this number. At 12:25pm I received a call from 508-475-1376. At 12:45pm I received ANOTHER call from 508-475-1924! I answered the phone that time but did not say anything. Man with middle eastern accent said Hello? and then hung up. Has anyone ever received multiple calls from different yet very similar numbers? (same area code, prefix, etc?)
I received a call on my cell phone @ 11:07am on 07/29/2011. The guy had a middle eastern accent he told me he was with some collectors/lawyers office. Then he proceeded to say that they lent me money and put it on my account and wanted to kow why I have not repaid them. I explained to him that I had no idea what he was talking about and that I did not think that this call was legit and that I was going to turn him in. He then said Brenda you are a [***] [***] you no good [***] [***] if I get to the United states I will [***] kill you. I knew then that this call was not legit. When I tried calling it back they gave me the option to have my # removed. I am going to go to the local authorities and see what I can do to find out who these people are and press charges.
