FYI....you don't necessarily have to answer the call and you can still "open a hornet's nest". When I'm at work, these people call and my voicemail picks up, which is basically the same as answering their calls. Next day, I see the same number on my caller ID and this continues. I'm not going to cancel my voicemail and miss REAL calls, so not much you can do. If I'm home when the scammers call, I pick up the phone, lay it on my desk, and go about my business, leaving the phone there and leaving the scammer talking to themselves. Eventually, they will go away.
Got a voicemail from "Dana" saying "Oh, hello, this is Dana calling you back. I think I have the right number but it looks like I got your voicemail. Anyway, I'm calling back with the information you wanted about how you could make $10,000 from home..."
Yeah, I didn't ask for any such information...and no, you are not calling me "back," since I never called you in the first place.
I'd most definitely say this is a spam call.
Wow! I got the SAME call from Dana and I never called her! I think if I see that number come up again, I will answer and say, "Hi, this is Dana, I am not calling you back anymore with information that you didn't request about how you can earn $10,000 a month from home!"
