They have called me 10 times in the last 2 days I finally called them back and got hung up on when I ask them to give me my social security number so I can verify they are who they say they are. It was very difficult to understand them because they are in a different country very heavy accents.
IRS scam phone call. Criminal caller left a message indicating I am to be sued by the IRS. As a CPA, I know that the IRS does not conduct business by telephone, only by mail.
These callers are criminals and try to rip people off by offering to "make a deal" for back taxes. Please do not fall for this criminal activity. When in doubt, contact your tax adviser or the IRS. DO NOT GIVE THESE CRIMINALS MONEY!!!
I have been getting calls from 509-643-4335 to my home and now cell phone number. Stating the IRS is in the process of being sued and this is my final call. Every time I called to have them remove me they hang up on me. I just called them back again and the lady on the other said this is not a scam and we will just sue you and hung up on me. I know this is a scam, how can I get them to stop calling?
They have called my cell 3x yesterday from a 202 area code and today 2x from a 509 area code. Told them I was a Illinois State Trooper and they hung up on me. Next time I said this was a business number and they hung up on me. I like wasting there time as much as they waste mine. Last time I called them they got mad because I told them if they was the IRS tell me what I got back on my taxes last year and they hung up on me.
