The Problem with these calls is anyone in Canada who registered on the DO NOT CALL list is subject to these calls. I've gotten a few now. The reason is these companies went to the DO NOT CALL List and signed up as a Telemarketer and was able to obtain the List, at which point they've started calling everyone.
I just received this call on my cell phone in canada at 4:18PST PM, i picked up and i said hello and they hung up right away. I looked this phone number up on a reverse phone number search and it said it was "01 Communications, Landline, Crockett, CA. "
But 01 Communications, could just be the service provider it is with..
i recieved the call while at work and i did press 1 this is the only telemarketer who has ever called my cell phone and i wanted to make sure whoever they were know that i dont appreciate un-necessary calls to my cell while at work and after waiting on hold for 5 min after i pressed 1 i was peeved enough that all the girl had a chance to say was "congradulations" before i proceded to sternly tell her i dont know how they got my cell number and i'm not F**king impressed then i told her i wanted to be put on her companys do not call list her response was "yes i can do that for you right away and i am sorry for disturbing you" i thanked her and told her to have a nice day :)
