Got a call saying goes out computer was hacked and they were using our ip address and whatnot. He was pretty insistent I get on the computer for him to control remotely. Also said they had sent my family multiple messages but since we never responded (nor did we ever get any messages), they had to call us.
Very much a scam, don't listen to them.
Same here as above. They stated that I was hacked. They stated they needed to access my computer and they wanted $110 to fix. They insisted on my credit card # and refused to get off the phone with me. I hung several times and they call me right back! Super scam.
Received a call from the above number. I just picked up the receiver without saying anything and a woman (with an Indian accent) said she was calling from windows support and I just hung up. DO NOT ANSWER PHONE CALLS OF THIS TYPE BECAUSE IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
saying my computer was hijacked and being used as a Botnet. Said he represented Windows operating system. Very rude. I knew immediately it was a fraud but tried to keep him on the line. He wanted me to start giving him info on my computer. You could tell he was in a large call center. He hung up when I demanded to know the name of his organization. Obviously a criminal ring. Wish there was a way to trace and find them as they are ripping off people daily for something...
