Got a call saying goes out computer was hacked and they were using our ip address and whatnot. He was pretty insistent I get on the computer for him to control remotely. Also said they had sent my family multiple messages but since we never responded (nor did we ever get any messages), they had to call us.
Very much a scam, don't listen to them.
I received a call from this number from someone with and Indian accent telling me there was a problem with my "windows computer." I knew it was a scam right away so I asked wich computer, they stated that they had the license number from the computer and when I asked for it they hung up. Absolute scam.
Been getting daily calls from the above number for several days, decided to answer it today and it was Jack from windows support team informing me my windows was compromised, I politely told him " Go f#×k yourself Jack, I don't use windows on my phone," he hung up immediately.
Thanks everybody for comments. Got second call from this number and blocked it. I always wait for 2nd call because too many scumbags and less room for numbers to be blocked.
Said they were Windows Support. Talked me into logging in to my laptop so they could show me the errors where hackers were trying to get in. Said if I didn't pay them to clean it up they would have to shut down my system. Too late they already had control and Shut the laptop down when I refused to pay. I was told I would find out what karma is. I had to call the real Microsoft and buy a support package so they could help me get the laptop back up. Had to do System restore and lost everything!
