I received a call at 9:30 asking to support some kind of Peace Association with the police. When I replied no thanks I do all my donating through the Essex County Sheriff's Dept where my father works the guy hung up.
These people need to get a real 9-5 job, because this Scam is so old & tired. This # belongs to Magic Jack Company... If they call my # one more time I will call Magic Jack & make a Complaint with their Corporate Office. I don't have time to play, I do have a life.
I received a call from this number yesterday from a guy claiming he was a Oakland Police Officer, and that they are raising money for the youth in Oakland. He said that they would send me 5 tickets for $40.00 to a Rodeo in SF at the Cow Palace. He said, we won't take any money over the phone (and I won't give money over the phone), but will send the tickets if I promise to pay for them. He then transfered me over to a woman who made sure they had my correct address so they could send the tickets to me. I don't trust anything over the phone and will always do my research to see if it's a scam, and now I see that it is. He will be sending tickets to me for nothing.
