I work for an architectural firm. This guy called for one of my PM's. He wouldn't say what company he was calling from so I put him on hold, googled the number and all these negative posts came up. I told the guy there's no way I'm putting the call through, so he hung up. Oh well.
Maria keeps calling regarding a specific project. She is from Austin Texas and is wanting information for a project she is doing at the Community College which she would not give a name for. She calls numerous times and finally left the message this time. Refused to do so before. She has a blocked number and this is the one she actually gave me.
Received a call from a "Callie" needing information on a specific project, particularly vendor information under the premise of economic impact research paper. She could not give the actual name of the school she attend, "just a community college in Austin, Tx." She could not provide the name of her professor neither. I received a similar call 2 years ago under almost the exact circumstances. Be aware!!
Same thing, only this was from "AJ Ruiz". Same old routine looking for subcontractors names on a specific project we were doing. Someone calls every year. We never give out that information. You'd think they'd take us off their list, but no such luck. I actually try to ask them many questions about the school and their professor, but never get any meaningful information from them. They gal that called in the spring called back twice since I told her I would email the information to her and her deadline for the class was imminent.
We just received a phone call from this number from a Derrick. Same story as everyone else above has stated. He's doing a class project and had a couple of questions about a current project we are working on. After googling his number and reading the other comments on here, I called him back and told him I had googled his number and found a lot of other people have been getting the same calls from people with different names. His only explanation was that there were 70 kids in the class and they were all calling general contractors around the country. That doesn't explain why this particular number is popping up on everyone's Caller ID if 70 different kids from the class are making these phone calls, unless they all use one phone, which seems highly unlikely. We would be happy to help a college student with a project, but this seems a bit sketchy and we will not be talking to him again.
I got a call from a "Tisha," wouldn't give a last name, who used the name of an executive assistant in our Chancellor's office. She said it was for an economics project, but wouldn't give any more info.
