Yes, I am getting these calls. But I haven't had a land line phone for years. Just got one a couple of months ago and no one knows my number. But I keep getting calls for the person that had this number before me. Bank mortgae people calling, credit card people , Dr. Offices. Just all kinds of people calling asking for the couple that had this number before. Evidently phone com. didn't let number stay vacant very long before they reassigned it. I got all the other calls stopped. Now just this one. I could get my phone number changed, but then have to go thru all of that again. Or I could remove my phone and go back to not having land line. Don't really need it. Use my cell phone all the time.
These people have been calling me for 3 months saying I owe money to Multhnomah County, which I do not. What a pain. I finally called my phone company (Centurylink) and was able to place the phone number on a Call Rejection List. We will see if that works....
I'm in Hawaii and received the same message "This message is neither a sales nor a solicitation call. Please contact us regarding this urgent and outstanding matter at 1-800-295-0851 soon as possible. We are open until 10 P.M. central standard time Monday through Thursday...(etc.)"
Received call on a Sunday (2/5/2012) from GilaCorp, automated voice of a man, clear English states, "This is not a solicitation or a sales marketing call, please return this call concerning an urgent financial matter". Well, if it was urgent, tell me what its concerning, no return phone number was mentioned. IGNORE!
