I received one of these calls, they left a voice mail message saying there was a legal issue and I needed to call back immediately. Thanks for your comments, will not respond!
I got two messages on my machine about a week apart, both asking me to call 512-614-9406.The first was the policeman, saying I was "in big trouble" if i didn't call back. The 2nd was from Jessica Jones from the IRS threatening legal action.
Received message to call Michelle back from the IRS at 512-614-9406. Not calling. IRS has posts on their site about this scam. They remind us to that they will ALWAYS send a letter in the mail as the first method of contact. Stay alert, wary, be careful-- it is a scam.
Had a VM on home phone - listened to it 3x and still couldn't follow where "she" was from. I wrote down ILS as that is what I thought I heard - but once I googled and saw these comments, it must have been IRS. Figured it was scam and appreciate the advice about asking for specific tax info - makes me want to call back just to pursue asking them personal questions! But I won't succumb to their tactics! Appreciate the advice!
Received a call from on February 2nd at 1:33 P.M. from this number. The call went to voice mail. The message was Jessica Jones from the IRS saying I needed to call back immediately as someone had filed legal charges against my name and Identity. Her message was hard to understand and I knew the IRS would never make this call, so I ignored it.
